April News & More
Greetings from downtown Todd!
It was a LONG time coming, but I think we may finally have Spring here in Todd!
With the change of weather the DOT crews have been out repairing some of the really damaged parts of Todd Railroad Grade Road (from the January flood). But the recent heavy rains have added new spots along the road to watch out for. Hopefully they will get these fixed before long.
Dust off those dancing shoes, our monthly CommUnity Contra Dance this Friday night, April 19th right here at the Todd Mercantile. If you’ve never been to one, these dances sure are a whole lotta fun for the whole family! This month Connie Carringer will be calling a great mix of dances for an exciting evening to tunes by the Laurel Creek String Band (and friends)! Circles, contras, squares and more! No experience necessary. The cost is only 5.00 for all those over 12. Come on out and celebrate the coming of spring by kicking up your heels a little!
On Saturday (the 20th), watch out for cyclists making their way around the high country (including Todd) in theBoone Roubaix. The race will be starting at the High Country fairgrounds on Roby Greene Rd. at 10am. They will be coming down Big Hill Rd. and into Todd shortly thereafter, where they will be crossing 194 and heading up Three Top Rd. Check out the link for more info on the race and course. The front porch of the Mercantile would be a great place to watch the racers as they ride by!
For more upcoming fun events check out the left hand column.
If you haven’t stopped by the Mercantile this season, you’ll want to come and check out some of the cool new items we now carry.
Hope to see you soon in Todd!
