The Crumb for 12-12-12
Season Greetings Y’all!
After a couple weeks of absolutely beautiful warm weather, it’s getting a bit chilly here in downtown Todd!
Since this is likely one of the busiest times of year for everyone – running around shopping and spending time with family and friends – we want to remind you of of couple items of interest here in Todd too!
This Friday, December 14th join us here at the Todd Mercantile for a Community Pot Luck Dinner starting at 6pm. There will be (soft) drinks available courtesy the TCPO. Bring your favorite dish to share AND your dancing shoes! Right after the pot luck dinner we will be having our monthly Contra Dance! It’s a great time to bring the family out and not only meet your neighbors, but do-si-do with them too! No experience necessary and it’s a whole lotta fun!
Dance will start about 7:30, or when we clear the tables.
John Turner and Julie Gurganus are calling the dances, with the Laurel Creek String providing lively dance tunes!
Admission to dance: $5 (under 12 free) for the band.
We still have some great bargains for your Christmas presents! And we are baking special Christmas items this month – like our Anise flavored Pizelles, Spritz cookies, Russian Tea Cakes (also known as Mexican wedding cookies), gingerbread cookies and a seasonal favorite – Stollen! Be sure to stop by and get some!
I also want to remind you that the Todd Mercantile is changing it’s operating hours for the month of December. We are also changing the hours slightly from my last email to accommodate some customers requests.
December 1st – 30th
closed Mon. – Tues.
Wed. – Fri. 10am – 5pm
Saturday 9am – 5pm
Sunday 10am – 4pm
We will be closing the months of January and February, however we will be continuing to have our monthly Contra Dances! I will let you know the dates for those when we get them.
We also have a huge favor to ask of each of you. If possible, can you give the Todd Mercantile a review on google and/or yelp! it would help us to better serve our customers and be a big help for people looking to maybe one day visit Todd. Thanks!!
May each of you have a very merry Christmas filled with peace and love!
